The INNOV–Environment Centre supports municipalities, Regional Service Commissions (RSCs), provincial departments, businesses and community organizations in the planning, management and valorization of natural environments as well as in the development of resilient communities. The team combines scientific expertise, geospatial tools and citizen engagement to support informed decision making based on reliable data and strong community involvement.
Our mission: to put environmental science and innovation at the service of New Brunswick communities, helping them build sustainable territories grounded in the understanding, planning and valorization of ecosystems and the services nature provides to communities.

ACHIEVEMENTS
We are redefining industry standards through sustainable innovation and technical excellence. From Canada’s first recyclable hull to the optimization of production lines, we are propelling the composites sector toward a circular economy and green performance.
INNOV – Environment stands out for its collaborative and science-based approach, fostering understanding, participation and action at the territorial scale.
Some of our key achievements:
165+ wetlands assessed using WESP-AC; more than 15 students and technicians trained using this methodology.
Municipal natural asset management plans implemented in several communities in northern New Brunswick.
Public workshops and awareness activities in wetland management, nature-based solutions and ecosystem conservation
Ecological network scenario planning with the City of Dieppe.
Vulnerability analyses and integrated protection plans for drinking water sources in northwestern New Brunswick.
Connected hydrological monitoring network (LoRaWAN) for real-time measurement of water level and quality.
Active partnerships with XXX municipalities, universities and NGOs for the collection and valorization of environmental data.
Co-development of community environmental plans integrating local knowledge and scientific data.
